Mathew Cusick makes collages out of old maps, some of his work has been recreated into another map like the one abouve is in the shape of a bird but could also be a newly discoved island.

The car one
above although it isn’t a map now it used to be and once i think about that, I appreciate
the difficulty and the time that has been put into an image like this to make
it look even remotely like a car never mind as well done and as detailed as this.

This one is in a way been created into a map beacuase its showing you the curves in the road and what direction they take you wether it be towards the mountains or to water .
