Cal Lane is a woman I really find intriguing and magical,
she manages to find beauty in the rustiest of places. My passion for cutting
pattern into paper isn’t that dissimilar to Cal’s work. I respect the time and
effort that it has taken to slice and burn away the old paint and its original
form to leave a heavy but delicate piece of art. This work inspires me to look
beyond paper for something else, that I’m not aware of yet.
This has been plasma-cut, which is done by a machean a process that is used to cut metel using a plasma torch |
